Two-Day Enamelling Workshop. 9.30 - 4pm, Saturday and Sunday.
Enamel is a specialised kind of glass that is applied to metal (copper or silver) and then fired in a kiln.Unlike pottery, the firings are very short, allowing layers to be built up to create depth. The workshop is suitable for beginners or those with some experience. You will be guided to make a number of colourful pieces of enamelled copper or silver using a range of techniques including using fine gold or silver foils and cloisonne wire.,Your pieces can be made into ear rings, pendants or brooches. Come and make some lovely, unique Christmas gifts!
A starter kit of materials is included in the price, which will cover all the basics. Additional materials, chains, ear wires etc can be purchased from Sally if required.
This is a fun, info-packed class. Sally is a very experienced teacher who creates a relaxed creative experience. Limited numbers.
