HOLIDAY PROGRAMME: Children's Enamelling Workshop. 3 hours. Wednesday 21st April 2021, 9.30am-12.30pm
Children's Enamelling Workshop. 3 hours. Wednesday 21 April 2021, 9.30am-12.30pm.
Suitable for children 7-12 years old.
(Alternatively, message me to arrange a private group of up to 6 participants, at a time to suit.)
Enamel is a type of brightly coloured glass applied to metal (copper) and then heated in a kiln to fuse it resulting in a beautiful glass like surface. In this class you will have some pre-cut shapes to choose from, and learn how to put the enamel onto the metal. Once dry, you will be able to watch the magic of it being fired (melted) in a kiln, and then watch as the colours develop while cooling down. Your piece will then get polished, and finished into a brooch, pendant or fridge magnet.
Bring covered shoes, and tie your hair up.
Please bring a snack and drink for morning tea.
